NFSU Dharwad Campus is the first campus of NFSU in the southern region of India. It has been a long-cherished dream to set up NFSU Dharwad Campus in South India. The Dharwad city is located in the north western part of the Indian state of Karnataka and is an administrative district and educational hub of the state of Karnataka. Hon'ble Union Minister of Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah laid the foundation stone for the NFSU campus at Dharwad on 28th January 2023. NFSU Dharwad Campus will be constructed on an area of 45 acres 19 gunta of land at Dharwad, Karnataka. NFSU Dharwad campus is established with the objective of strengthening Forensic Science Education in Karnataka and neighbouring states.
As a part of its mission, the University is presently offering three specialized academic programs in the niche areas of Forensic Sciences and Cyber Security namely B.Sc. M.Sc. Forensic Science, B. Tech-M. Tech Computer Science & Engineering (Specialization in Cyber Security) and Professional Diploma in Crime Scene Management. The campus is planning to offer more programs in the coming years. NFSU Dharwad campus also intends to offer short term training programs and need based workshops for police personnel, judiciary, security officials, bankers, chartered accountants, and government officials. The vision is to develop NFSU Dharwad Campus as a "Centre of Excellence" offering education and research opportunities of very high standards in Forensics, Cybersecurity, Pharmacy and Allied Sciences
